Mr. Ibrahim is a 54 years old male patient who admitted to Beijing Puhua International Hospital due to “upper limbs weakness for 14 months.” He was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease.
Medical Condition before Stem Cell Treatment (SCT)
The patient’s muscle tension of upper limbs was decreased. Muscle volume was significantly decreased in left upper limb and bilateral hands (worse in left side).He could not complete finger to nose movement.
Finger joints: left flexion 1/5, extension 2/5; right flexion 3/5, extension 3/5;
Wrist joints: left flexion/extension 2/5; right flexion/extension 3/5;
Elbow joints: left flexion/extension 2/5; right flexion/extension 4/5;
Shoulder joints: left flexion/extension 2/5; right adduction/abduction 4/5.
Stem Cell Treatment (SCT) for Motor Neuron Disease (MND)
After his admission, he completed full examinations. He was given 3 Injections of neural stem cells, 1 injection of mesenchymal stem cell; self stem cell activation and proliferation therapy, rehabilitation therapy (Physical therapy, occupational therapy), and TCM.
Medical Condition after Stem Cell Treatment (SCT) for MND
After the SCT treatment, the patient’s physical condition is fine with good mental status. The mobility of left wrist and fingers has been significantly improved, and pain in the left shoulder was released. He can lift the right arm more easily than before. Finger to finger movement is more flexible in the right hand.
