Medical History prior to Admission to Beijing Puhua International Hospital (BPIH) for Anti-Cancer Treatment
Thaiylah Joel is a 29 years old female patient who suffered from pelvic cancer, with multiple abdominal lympnodes and enlarged in size. She underwent resection of uterus and ovary in local hospital. She was admitted to Beijing Puhua International Hospital due to “recurrent cervical cancer after the operation 4 months, and pain in the left lower limb for 1 month”
CT of abdomen and pelvis (2016-11-07) revealed that there's a large irregular mass lesion lying centrally within the pelvis. The appearances are highly concerning for recurrent carcinoma of the cervix. Several lymph nodes seen in the left side of the pelvis and there's one lymph node more superiorly in the abdomen.
The main problem for her was severe pain with the abdomen due to the pelvic tumor, and she had to take large dose of morphine to reduce the pain. It was also difficult for her to defecate.
Comprehensive Treatment of Pelvic Cancer (2 Weeks of Inpatient Care)
After thorough evaluation, the patient was given comprehensive treatment program, including: Intervening arterial chemotherapy + CIK immunotherapy + Hyperthermia (Thermotron-RF8) +TCM (Chinese medicine intravenous infusion).
Medical Condition after Anti-Cancer Treatment at BPIH
The patient’s general condition has been significantly improved after the treatment. When she completing the intervening arterial chemotherapy, she was pleasantly surprised that there’s no pain with the abdomen and she could stop taking the morphine. She can defecate normally, taking daily activities smoothly, and also have better appetite and sleep. Her husband was gratefully to see her improvement, and made a video with us to tell their treatment experience. They planned to come back for the second stage treatment after 2 months to get further improvement.
